Phillip cut his teeth on the HSBC International Executive Training Programme, before carving out a banking career lending money to mid cap businesses to complete Management Buy Outs and Acquisitions.
As the Corporate Finance market slowed down and the country headed into recession, Phillip took the helm of Liquid Friday and took it on a journey from loss to profit and from <£1m turnover to £64m in just 6 years. Phillip was co-founder and CEO of Boox, a specialist firm of online accountants for four years of his term at Liquid Friday.
Having exited these two successful businesses, Phillip has now runs Smarta.com, the launchpad for startups and small businesses. They can provide all of the tools you need to get that idea off the ground without the need for large scale investment.
So you want to start a business?!
Phillip takes 13 years of experience watching business clients succeed or fail from his position as their bank manager and distils it into a master class of things to do and not do for business success. He also draws on the lessons learned from growing his last two businesses that twice made it into the Sunday Times Fasttrack 100, the UK''s most established index of high growth companies.
