As Head of Programmes in the Centre for Growth at Aston University,
Jonathan specialises in leading major regional programmes to support high-growth SMEs, including being a Programme Director for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme since its launch in 2011. Jonathan has also directed large scale ERDF and RDA initiatives in the North West, designing, delivering and managing the development of more than 500 CEOs/MDs. As course director, he has also created a wide range of CPD and Executive Education courses for business. Previously, Jonathan was Head of Business Programmes at MMU, where, in addition to leading the Enterprise Fellows team, he managed
the university’s development of Degree Apprenticeships. He has also served as an assessor chair for the Small Business Charter Mark, as chair of the Institute of Small Business and Entrepreneurship’s special interest group on growth, and as a member of the Cheshire and Warrington LEP Business Advisory Board.

Since 2010, the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Programme has supported more than 1,000 of the UK''s most ambitious SMEs to achieve growth. This seminar will share research and practical insights from the programme partners (Oxford Said Business School, Aston University and Leeds University) on the key factors which have helped these entrepreneurs to growth their businesses.
