After nine years as a submariner Luke embarked on a career in energy. His involvement with the energy sector began in 2003 working on the government’s Warm Front Scheme. In 2008, he founded GB Energy (Renewables), providing a range of energy efficient products to households and businesses. But Luke wanted to help people directly save money through lower prices for gas and electricity, so in 2014, launched GB Energy Supply. He set out to strip away the unnecessary costs that the bigger companies pass to customers and build the most efficient, most customer-focused energy supplier in the country.
Minimising the head office; maximising the customer base.
Luke will talk about the benefits of keeping a lean business model and will share his five principles of doing that. The principles will include the need to be ruthless; focusing on what really creates value; doing what is best for the customer; ensuring customer service isn’t compromised and how to maximise marketing spend.
